Crewing & manning
Royal Roos has an exclusive partnership with a marine training institute in Mumbai, India. Whether you need individual crewmembers or a complete ship’s complement Royal Roos can accommodate this request. Administration is done in India to reduce costs.
Cooperation RAPMA and Royal Roos
Through this cooperation the shipping company’s management system can be part of the students curriculum. This will prepare the student for their apprenticeship. Because the cadets must complete three periods of eight months at sea and have been trained in the company’s procedures they will be familiar with the type of ship and company upon completion of their apprenticeship. Their progress is thoroughly recorded and cadets of moderate or weak performance can therefore be excluded from sailing as an officer on your ships.
Other benefits:
- reduced labor costs;
- office administration in India which reduces costs of overhead;
- good command of the English language by officers and ratings (mastery of English is part of the
selection process).
